Women’s Sportbike Rally (WSR), the only annual female-focused sportbike road rally in the world, announced big changes as well as the 2020 schedule today. In celebration of the growing number of women riders in North America and the steady growth of attendees over the organization’s 15-year history, the WSR is expanding its footprint. Four rallies will be held in 2020 in three new locations, with the finale event returning to Deals Gap, home to the original Rally since its inception in 2006. Event locations include:

  • WSR NorCal: Petaluma, California – June 26 to 28
  • WSR SoCal: Temecula, California – July 24 to 26
  • WSR Mid-Atlantic: Winchester, Virginia – September 4 to 7
  • WSR Deals Gap: Deals Gap, North Carolina – September 11 to 13

The increased number of rallies will enable WSR to reach women in geographic areas previously encumbered by distance. Their goal is to allow more of these “expansion” events each year, with women riders in new locations stepping up to host an event in their hometowns. Simultaneously, this expansion plan will enable WSR to stay true to its creed by keeping the gatherings intimate and personal.

Each expansion event will be created by local women riders, focusing on the geographic area and all it has to offer, including the best accommodations, restaurants, businesses that support motorcyclists, and most importantly, the best routes for those who love to ride sportbikes.

The format of each event will mirror the original Rally that started it all in 2006. WSR is calling this format “unplugged” and is proud to be returning to its roots. The style of the events will focus on riding, new friendships, and immersive hands-on experience. In a world where social media and digital advertising have become an integral part of life, WSR aims to provide a weekend of 100% real-life experiences that are not easily forgotten.

Although the event format will see revamp, WSR values remain the same: encouragement, education, camaraderie, and empowerment through intimate gatherings celebrating all women who love motorcycles.

“We’re proud to have the ability to reach an even larger audience of women motorcyclists from across North America this year,” said Rally Director Brittany Morrow. “Each event will mimic the same rally that women have returned to every year. It’s the same WSR we all know and love, but with the power to connect more female riders to each other than ever.”

At the 2020 rallies, attendees can expect to enjoy both guided and self-guided rides along some of the nation’s best motorcycling roads and betted routes from local women riders. Other event favorites like group photos, sponsor presence, raffle prizes, and shared meals will also return as part of the weekend schedule. However, that’s not the only fun to be had. The rallies serve as a means to build relationships and friendships with other riders and the staff ensure that attendees won’t become lost in the shuffle by providing engaging group activities. WSR encourages women of all ability levels to attend from brand new riders to seasoned twisty veterans.

“The rally wouldn’t be possible without funding from our loyal sponsors and the enthusiastic volunteers who collectively donate thousands of hours of work every year,” said Morrow. The rally is currently seeking both sponsors and volunteers, offering to activate involvement with the organization. With the growth of women as a motorcyclist demographic, the Women’s Sportbike Rally offers a prime opportunity for motorcycle manufacturers and lifestyle supporting brands to have their products, services, and staff members front-and-center where women motorcyclists can actively engage.

Registration for all 2020 events will open on March 20. For more information, visit womenssportbikerally.com. To become a rally sponsor or request a sales deck, contact director@womenssportbikerally.com.
